Genomic analysis

For genomic analysis, we currently offer a number of applications:

  • Array CGH (aCGH) analysis, for which we mainly use the Agilent platform.  Agilent currently offers CGH microarray for human, mouse, rat, and various model organisms at different resolutions.  Agilent also offers the possibility of designing custom CGH arrays, for example arrays with increased resolution in regions of interest or arrays for non-standard organisms.  If desired, we can assist in array design.
  • With the nCounter® custom CNV CodeSets, up to 800 putative CNV regions can be multiplexed in one single reaction.  Also for this application, the nCounter technology is extremely suitable when screening many samples for a relatively small amount of – in this case – putative CNV regions.
  • ChIP-on-chip or aCGH using Tiling arrays.  Tiling arrays are microarrays containing probes tiling the complete genome or specific sub-parts of the genome.  Tiling arrays are in general used for Chromatin Immunoprecipitation assays, where the IP DNA is amplified and hybridized onto the tiling microarray, thus enabling the mapping and identification of the immunoprecipitated DNA regions.  For ChIP-on-chip applications, we mostly use Affymetrix Tiling Arrays.  These tiling arrays can also be used to do aCGH analysis.  The advantage of these tiling arrays over regular aCGH arrays are that in general the resolution of these tiling arrays is much higher, enabling more precise identification of the putative CNV regions.
